In the regulations below you will find the house rules that apply in our hotel. You are obliged to adhere to these rules. Violation of any house rule can be reported to the police immediately and without regard to the person concerned, while denial of access will also be announced.


  • The management is not liable for loss, theft or damage of your property.
  • Hotel Grand Canal reserves the right to enter a hotel room if the staff deems it necessary. For example, in the event of (a suspicion of) violation of the house rules.
  • In case of fire, do not panic and immediately hit the nearest fire alarm. The fire instructions are available for inspection at the reception.
  • It is forbidden to take our property outside the building. In case of damage and/or loss of our property you are liable for the repair and/or replacement costs.
  • We ask our guests to leave the room clean and in a normal state upon departure. If the room is found in an exceptionally dirty state, we reserve the right to retain the deposit in whole or in part to cover additional cleaning costs. In such cases, an additional cleaning fee may be charged.
  • Any found items must be handed in at reception.
  • Unwanted intimacies and/or threats will not be tolerated.
  • For fire safety reasons, it is not permitted to burn candles in the rooms or hallways.
  • Smoking is NOT permitted in the entire hotel. Smoking from windows is also strictly prohibited! Violating this smoking ban will result in a fine of €175.00. If the fire alarm goes off due to smoking in the room, you will be charged €275 for the fire brigade's call-out fee.
  • Filming staff is not permitted and is a violation of privacy laws.
  • By visiting you agree to video recordings being made with our security cameras. After disturbances or accidents, recordings can be shown to third parties.
  • It is not allowed to take food from the breakfast room. Breakfast must be consumed in the breakfast room.
  • The consumption, use, trading, or possession of any narcotics is strictly prohibited.
  • The use of laughing gas is prohibited in the hotel or on the hotel grounds. In case of confiscation and/or finding of laughing gas tanks we are forced to charge €150.00 disposal costs per tank.
  • Criminal activity is strictly prohibited.
  • It is not permitted for anyone within our building to have weapons in their possession and/or to carry them. If this is found, the police and the judiciary will be called in.
  • It is strictly forbidden to cause any nuisance to other guests, including but not limited to loud music, rude behavior or any form of noise nuisance. Should we receive complaints from other guests, we reserve the right to retain the deposit and/or ask you to leave the hotel.
  • The owner of this location and/or persons working for the Hotel cannot be held liable for any injury and/or material or immaterial damage that visitors to the location may experience.

 

In all cases not provided for in these regulations, the management of Hotel Grand Canal Delft will decide. Failure to comply with these rules may result in the police and the judiciary being called in and you will be asked to leave the premises immediately. The hotel reserves the right to terminate the reservation immediately without refunding the paid reservation amount.
